I really don't know why you are laughing when I asked about a Thailand visa. I want to visit this country and I want to know the material costs such as hotels and food. That's all.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The original poster is seeking information about getting a visa for Thailand and the estimated costs of hotels and food. Many replies suggest using online resources like Google, Agoda, and TripAdvisor for hotel prices and visa applications at the Thai embassy. Participants emphasize the need for specific questions to receive helpful answers and offer insights on the varying costs, ranging from budget to luxury options for accommodation and dining.

😂 google it. Cost of living thailand. Go to google maps and look at restaurant menus.

Go to online travel agent (Expedia & booking) look for room rates on your preferred dates.

Why we are laughing, is that the question or can be googled and you are too lazy or that the question is to open too answer, like you ask is to predict something: weather at a certain day or how much hotels are.

Hotels range from 500 baht to 30,000 baht per day!

Google maps is a good resource. Then you can ask about rooms and restaurants.

This link is to Chiang Mai, but you can put in different cities or locations.

YouTube is another source of information.

It all depends on your budget, for instance, there is a food called “pad tai” very simple food of Thailand, it cost about,
*****
thb. Thailand is very cheap when it comes to food, and tasty. If you are going for a month or two or more, it’s a good idea to rent your place, you can share a place or rent it alone, they are on Facebook pages, just write what town or place and add houses or bungalows for rent, all information is there. If you don’t mind sleeping 🛏 n dorms, that’s the cheapest option. A part from that, the money you would spend for alcohol or other things is up to you.

"to visit“ can mean a 2 weeks vacation or south east Asia trip or even moving here permanently. Costs are depending on your lifestyle. Party every day will be expensive, living with others in the same room with others in a hostel can be dirt cheap. Imported food is pricy too. I have mot cooked pnce in 15 months and I’m happy with local food. Up to you as they say 🙏

Your first post is - I want to ask about a Visa Question. Nobody will know what is your question is.

And I do see someone nice and ask what is your question in which you reply him, are you in Thailand? 🤦

We are happy to help if you can post all the questions you wish to ask so that those who has the answer can reply you.

But there will be some jokers who give you funny answers so just ignore them.

I guess agoda.com isn’t a place to find hotel prices? Thai Embassy doesn’t answer questions about the visa cost and types. Better ask a FB group. SMH

F*ck Agoda, recently I've booked a place in Pattaya. On arrival the hoster told me that place is overbooked. On my question "why" he said that some 3rd party company (some Agoda partner) accepts all bookings in Agoda and they don't care about the actual number of rooms. At least, Agoda was able to provide me a refund. I was not the only person who had the same issue on that day with other hotels. So no more Agoda for me anymore.

Because FB is full of nasty people. Ignore them, they ar sad individuals. Never take any insults you get on social media personally🙏

Unfortunately, I cannot help you as I am just starting to look into Thailand. It might be best to call their embassy directly to find out about the different visa requirements. And as people mentioned before, it depends on the country you are entering from and the kind of passport you hold.

As of expenses, Thailand is, compared to most western countries, quite cheap.

I suggest starting at the Thai Embassy page in your country. There are a lot of VISA options. You can explore AirBB and Trip Advisor and Google for trip costs and hotels and suggestions for itineraries. Thailand is magical

My opinion is those are the ones who never asked advice, did everything wrong when they came, got burned, and now they feel somehow superior because of the limited knowledge they've attained. That said, questions are often vague, repetitive and redundant, and many don't search for answers elsewhere first, so group members get jaded and cynical.

Can't help you with visa advice if we don't know what passport you hold or why you are coming here.

Cost of food and accommodation is entirely up to what you like or want, so can't help you with that either.

Being more specific might get you real replies.

You will have to apply for a tourist visa from outside Thailand.

A tourist visa will give you permission to stay 60 days in the country, and can be extended with 30 days at the immigration in Thailand.

Use a search engine like hotels.com to lookup hotel prices. The prices wary a lot from a hostel to a 5 star resort, but there accommodation for all types of budget.

Food can be found in all price ranges as well, depending on you eat local or at a Michelin restaurant.

May I put in my 2 cents . Before we left Hawaii , hubby researched about Thailand , cost of living , food , and so forth . Then I started reading about visa but once we got here , I started contacting visa agents to get more info . If FB peeps are offering or giving you free info you're lucky . Expect to get positive and negative comments from FB . That's the world we live in . Brush it off and take the helpful advice and throw the rest out .

Here’s something I found for you, Amine. I’m assuming you are traveling on an Algerian passport. Please, double check online, but it looks like you can get a 90 day tourist visa on arrival.

**OUTDATED PRICES**

MUCH HIGHER NOW

Food cost is cheap by euro standart, similar/lilbit cheaper than Latin America, but about 40-80 bath a meal where i was, will go higer in restaurent or depending of area, check the conversion rate.

Hotels can be around 100-150bath/night for minimum but will go much higher if you looking for luxury

Can sleep under a bridge and eat out of the trash can for next to nothing.

I estimate the cost of dignitaries visiting is considerable more.

As they say in Thailand "Up to you".

AirBnB or any other lodging website can get you a cost estimate for lodging.

Food will likely be no less than $5.00/US a day. But if you want to enjoy yourself you will want to budget no less than $15.00/US a day.

Getting around, walking is free, luxury transportation is quite a bit more.

Thailand is inexpensive but if you need to budget down to the penny. You may want to stay closer to home. Go visit a park or something

Imma help you bro

I take that your english lvl is basic and there was miscommunication.

Let me explain :

When you ask " Can I ask about Visa Thailand?"

You are not asking anything specifcally, so what is it about the Visa you want to know?

Is it where to apply?

Visa processing times?

Visa cost?

Food cost?

Hotel cost?

Recommended area to visit?

What you expect from your trip/what you want to do in Thailand... ???
