My mum just got SETV in London arriving here in Thailand soon. It's for approx 8 weeks. If she wants to take a weekend trip to another country can she pay 1900 baht or whatever for a re-entry permit on the way out of BKK airport? Or SETV is strictly single entry? Sorry for dumb question. Thank you. I can add a photo here of the visa when she gets it stamped in her passport today.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The SETV (Single Entry Tourist Visa) allows for a stay of 60 days in Thailand. If your mum plans to leave Thailand for a weekend trip to another country and wants to return, she can acquire a re-entry permit for 1,000 baht at the airport when exiting. However, this permit will not extend her initial stay, which remains at 60 days from the date of entry.

Yes she can buy a single re entry permit for 1000bt. It wont add any time to her stay but will allow her to return untill her origional 'admitted to stay' date, which would be 60 days from when she entered the country on the SETV.

The SETV is a single entry visa that will allow her to stay here for 60 days. If she wants to leave and come back within that time she can get a re-entry permit.
