same situation with work...you could stop working just after getting the DTV. Either they didn't think through all the use cases, or just don't care after you get it ......I wonder....

Wise took their fee during the transfer.

This was a line item on my bank statement about a week after and only .3%. .....of that amount but not sure related. Sorry I wrote 3% earlier by mistake.

I would think it would be useful for a bank to keep an account open especially with hundreds of thousands of baht in it ;)

Btw...are transfers into Bangkok Bank or any Thai bank taxed now?

I just moved a large amount in using Wise from a USA bank and noticed a tax line item ..looks about 3%.
