Do Thai immigration officials have access to details about the specific type of DTV visa, such as digital nomad or soft power?

Once you have the visa, will immigration be able to see whether it’s for digital nomad or soft power? Or will it just say Dtv visa?

TLDR : Answer Summary
When entering Thailand with a DTV visa, the information displayed on the stamp itself will simply state 'DTV' without additional details identifying the specific category (like digital nomad or soft power). However, immigration officials can likely access your visa details through their system, which may indicate the specific type of DTV you applied for. The consensus among recent travelers is that while the stamp is generic, the immigration authorities have access to more detailed information in their records.

If you worry about getting into the country, just pay an agent to do VIP services and no hassle anymore. I never understand why anyone would put up with... just to save a but of money.

I’m guessing they will require proof of continued classes or treatment. We are at 6 month anniversary so many people exiting and returning

Let’s see

I think it will be July when more questions

Maybe 🤔

same situation with work...you could stop working just after getting the DTV. Either they didn't think through all the use cases, or just don't care after you get it ......I wonder....

you don’t think they will pull people aside to show proof on there phone or print outs? My guess is something different in June or July what that is unsure. Plus, any odds of any officials watching these groups? Maybe an IO watched these groups for fun or information.

Most say employment prohibited in the remarks. Yours says about your passport expiring before the visa.

What the debate

This example does say muay Thai

Maybe some embassy put nothing

Or older DTV had nothing

I think the computer most likely has what you applied under

Maybe someone else knows for sure

Most are the same but as you can see it does say what you applied under on some.

Many assume immigration is unaware of details not on their sticker or paper, but immigration gathers extensive profile data to decide on entry. They track entry history and know if you hold a DTV or other visa. Whether they know the exact DTV section is unclear, but applying for an eVisa may involve data sharing.

PS: MFA and immigration are different entities, but they both operate within the same country, with immigration being the ultimate decision-maker for entry, so why not obtain these data?! They already know you're a DTV holder...

EDIT: It seems now that the new ones have it mentioned directly on the paper so no more doubt about it.

I just got mine a few days ago and came into thailand yesterday. The paper i brought with me to immigrations has the type of DTV I applied for on it. I was also told because it's a E-VISA system now they can see my VISA in the system at immigrations. I don't know what their screen said when I check into the country with a DTV VISA but I'm sure they can see it if they want to. If it doesn't already say the type when they run my passport. Your stamp on your passport just says DTV though.

That's just a random comment, imo. Most, like mine, say "Employment Prohibited" under Remarks.

Mine says the same but it does say on some what category. I have seen one with Workation on it. It's so Immigration can see.
