Thanks for this advice, Ive been considering a retirement option but it seems with every visa, there is a part that makes you reconsider and has me going round in circles 😅
I used to get my visa advice from a guy called Udon Joe on a forum but he sadly passed away a few years ago and I left the forum
I opened one 13 years ago and havent been in Thailand for 16 months. I havent received any info stating anything is wrong. That said, they could close it without telling me but personally its no biggy as I only left a few quid the account anyway
Hi Tim Im in the UK and initially wont be intending to stay in Thailand for 180+ days in a year but thanks. There are grey areas I need to analyse and will do that once Im in Thailand (finer detail)
Im no expert Im just planning for myself and offering any info Ive found as I plan. Ive contacted a company there and been given a quote that seemed reasonable and will follow up once Im in Thailand.
I can pass those details on to anyone who wants to contact them but thats where my input ends as Im nothing to do with them and have not yet been covered by them so Im not recommending them for cover, just a company that might be worth talking to for anyone looking for insurance
Difficult to answer as most of the post is opinions apart from what Brandon has touched on
Personally I prefer to pay monthly if the prices are the same after 12 months. That said, I pay for my car ins annually to save money
I have a pre-existing condition and as Im planning to leave the UK later this year I have emailed a company based in Thailand (3 branches) and have received a quote based on what I told them. I can give you their email if you wish to contact them? Theyre quick on the replies but note that the most important thing about insurance is their payout rate rather than the cost.
I also recently saw a YT video about a company on South Pattaya Rd who seemed decent, I could locate that and share here if you like
