InspiringChestnut3492 Not much else you can do. And in the big picture, these annoyances and inconveniences aren't even worth mentioning if you compare them to the BS we deal with in our home countries

InspiringChestnut3492 Next year I'm gonna apply with 60 days left. They'll probably yell at me and say they remember me from last year when they told me 45 days 🤣🤣

In Samui:

1st time I went to immigration with 30 days left on my visa. But they told me I had to wait and come back when there was 2 weeks before expiration.

2nd time I went with 2 weeks left on it and they told me I need to apply 30 days prior, but said I was lucky because they had time available still. But they explained that next year I need to apply 30 days before expiration.

3rd time I went with 30 days left on it and they told me I needed to apply 45 days prior to expiration. When I explained that they told me last year to apply 30 days prior, they said you can't go by last year 🤣🤣🤣

She needs to have a job in Thailand and own property.

The US assumes she is going to overstay and not return. She has to provide solid reasons to prove she won't.

I spoke to 3 different visa attorneys and everyone of them told me without these 2 things (job & property) her B1 or B2 visa was 99% certain of being denied. The only realistic option is a K1 marriage or fiance visa. These visas approval are based more on your finances and ability to take responsibility for the visa applicant. But the processing time on those is 10 - 14 months.

Good luck.

Stewart Earnshaw Buys a house in a foreign country where he's prohibited from owning the land it sits on, and asks why when I suggested he should have spoken with a Thai attorney.

Nevermind bro.

That's not an extreme increase from the norm. Unless you're used to taking flight with a 30 hour duration

I'm guessing you have your reasons for wanting to do this but I would certainly advise against it. Even if this were permitted, it would create a headache for the immigration officer dealing with it and they could arbitrarily decide its not allowed because they don't want to deal with it. And unfortunately there isn't much you could do about it. You can't simply ask for the manager or their supervisor. They will tell you to go and simply ignore you if you don't.
