You should talk to your HR (or who processed your WP and visa for the first time) at least 2 months ago. Currently because of COVID, a lot of things slower than usual. I renew my WP one month later than usual, because of limited time slots at BOI (I not sure how things work with MOL but delays can be also expected). You must be on hurry at least a month ago, because right now you have like a little bit more than 1 month to do all things.
good luck. Just spend some time with this, as soon as you will do first application, consecutive will be much easier. For the very first one maybe you will need to visit IMM more than 2 times.
there is no reason to involve your WP / Salary in case they are not over 40k, which is minimum for marriage extension. So far, you need to deposit 400k THB in lump sum (

EUR), or get 12x monthly transfers to local bank from abroad in amount 40k+, or get WP/ Salary above 40k. The MOE issues WP w/o minimum wage by nationality requirement, but this will be not enough for extension and you can't use any "combination" like wage + extra money in bank. Each extension option require it's own set of documents.
In some case you can use "swear letter" or as we call it "affidavit" from your consulate, which is "swear" you have some income by month. The problem is, if you do this first time, then possible question can be asked by imm and additional supplemental documents may be asked, like transfer proofs, and you simply don't have enough time to build 12x transfers history.
So, for very first extension the easiest way to deposit 400k to bank account 2 month before application for extension.
Then, when you build your extension story, you may proceed with "swear letter" for 2nd - Xnd times. But I absolutely recommend to have proof of money transfers for previous 12 months in case imm ask you.
And, you can't use "WP" reason for extension in first year anyway, even if your wage above 40k, because of one requirement - you will need tax form 91, and if you work less than a year you simply can't get such form from your accountant.
Just one note - in case Passbook Update machine broken (this happened for me last year) you will need to wait until bank branch open, but they open early. Then lady at counter will update your book manually.
That's OK. Officer checked your last year application then just proceed with copies. The longer story you have in IMM database, the easier process will be.
Jon Warner That's OK, for first extension I also visit IMM 3 times. As I remember, I asked for copy of affidavit from my Embassy stated I was not married before I do marriage registration in Thailand. No such document required for 2nd and consecutive extensions.
