NON-O Married to Thai yearly extension lump sum banking method (please confirm steps) CW Immigration

As my date of lump sum deposit approached, please confirm the steps:

1. Deposit a little over 400k and update passbook on 21 December 2022. Should I get bank letter at this point or not?

2. Wait Seasoning, which will be 11 days in December, 31 day in January, 28 days in February, so I will have 70 calendar days in

total before application

3. Apply for extension on 1 March 2023 with usual set of documents, updated passbook and bank letter.

4. On the day of appointment to get final stamp, update passbook again (deposit any small amount to reflect funds still on account)

Thanks.

sounds like a sound plan You should have the 2 month seasoning requirement met on Feb 21st (2 calendar months after your deposit on Dec 21)

Thanks, Tod! Is there any reason to get bank letter on the day of deposit, or not? Or just update passbook? I not use banking method for years, not remember most of details.

most immigration offices accept a bank letter that is no older than 7 days before your application for the extension so there's no reason to get it when you do the deposit ๐Ÿ˜•

You need to check with your office to know how old the bank letter can be Bangkok is 7 days or less,

Mine is CW IMM Division 1, and I use Bangkok Bank account.

then you can get the bank letter as long as it's within 7 days from the date you apply for the extension

SO if you're applying for the extension on Mar 1 you can get the letter any time after Feb 22,

They'll do it in the basement at the B/B branch at Chaengwattana Building B no issues at all if you want to get it the day you apply (you need to update your bank book anyway)
