Share my application to NON-O Family (based on married to Thai national) extension today at CW

1. Arrived 6 AM at CW, entrance doors was already open

2. Queue into "live" queue, people literally sit on the floor in the line.

3. Officers start to give "real" queue tickets 7 AM. Get TWO for me and wife, No 54 and No 55. Advised by staff to come back 8 AM.

4. Breakfast time 7-8 AM, got some Thai food at foodcourt downstairs.

5. Go back 7-55 AM to doors, and inside Immigration Division 1 office 8.15 AM by queue numbers (this time queue was formed by staff using tickets they issued previously).

6. Rush inside and go to counters in main hall (3 counters was opened in total) to get "section" ticket. Mine was No 12 and I just come minutes after office was opened.

7. Done Application and leave building 9-45.

Something new, compared to last year:

The couple photo was done together with marriage certificate and wife ID attached to it (last year only faces together)

There is additional copy of house documents was requested and done downstairs at copy center.

As before, may apply 45 days before current extension ends, including application day and last day of current extension.

I was there at 5 AM yesterday, number 10 in line to get in the door, and number 3 to get my yearly extension. In fact that queue number was so low that I couldn't do the other things I needed to do there and my extension so I traded my number 3 to someone with number 14, went and did what I wanted came back and they were on 11.

I used the income affidavit from the US consulate without a problem or a question.

Got my yearly extension good until April 5th (I applied 43 days early) (y)

Thanks for the info, Vladimir! Was always wondering how it works. It all sounds ridiculous to me though. I did once, by mistake, arrive at CW about 8 am and saw this ridiculous queue spiraling everywhere that side of the hall. I was like wtf and went downstairs to have some rice and coffee. Went back about 9 am got a ticket 150 something and waited a few hours and got the extension done. I didn't have to sit on the floor at all.

1 year or 90day visa. ?

That makes sense. Sorry for you. Maybe online queue would make sense. At least for the non-imm business.
