I used to do this before COVID19. Once I was asked at the boarding, and I said that I was planning to go into Laos or Cambodia by bus (which was my actual plan :D) and then go back to Thailand.

hi! When you request the new passport the embassy will write a letter for you that asks Thai authorities to kindly transfer the visa stamps. Then you can take an appointment for visa transfer at immigration. You bring there old and new passport, photocopies just to be sure, as well as this letter. In 15 minutes you will get the new passport with all the relevant stamps transferred.

i have an additional question : do I need the 90 reports to leave the country ? Because I am not sure I will receive the receipts before my trip back home this summer. Thank you 🙏🏽
