NON-O Family Extension Question - Lump sum method - Chaeng Whattana

Hi Todd and all, please confirm or correct me if I’m wrong:

I deposit 400k lump sum to bank account 3 month before extension application.

Must get bank statement for account one day before application.

The best bank to deposit is Bangkok Bank, especially because they have branch in Immigration Building basement.

I must keep the sum in account until get final stamp on 2nd visit to immigration. Then I may use funds.

Thanks

TLDR : Answer Summary
To apply for a NON-O family extension in Thailand using the lump sum deposit method, you need to deposit 400,000 THB into a bank account three months prior to your application. Ensure you obtain a bank statement one day before submission. Bangkok Bank is recommended for its branches in the immigration office. The funds must remain untouched until you receive the final stamp on your extension during the second visit to immigration, which may take an additional month.

400,000 Thai baht fund's must be on deposit for two full months before making application for the one year extension of stay as Married to Thai.

DO NOT TOUCH THE $$$ UNTIL YOU HAVE THE ONE YEAR EXTENSION STAMP IN YOUR PASSPORT. Usually one more month.

thanks James. As I remember some time ago, there was difference in time 2 or 3 months in case this is first or consecutive extension. So if now 2 months regardless of first or consecutive, this is good
