Just one note - in case Passbook Update machine broken (this happened for me last year) you will need to wait until bank branch open, but they open early. Then lady at counter will update your book manually.

I can confirm there is a Bangkok Bank branch in the basement and it has a passbook updating machine in front of it next to the ATM and the Cash Deposit machines.
