You can add AIS as a virtual SIM and have both services on the same phone.

Simply delete the eSIM from Settings when you are done. The cellular provider does these eSIMs all day long for foreigners.

You can apply for an extension of stay based on retirement from within Thailand, providing you season you ฿800,000 in a Thai bank at least two months and meet all the other requirements.
