Not that I plan to, but what happens if you receive the stamp (Covid)

"Extension of stay is under consideration. Must contact office again in person on..."

and you are one day late in contacting immigration?

I searched the forum and was unable to readily locate any info.

TLDR : Answer Summary
If you receive an 'Extension of stay under consideration' stamp related to Covid in Thailand and are one day late in contacting immigration, it's likely that there won't be severe penalties. Generally, immigration officers may provide you the remainder of your stamp, but you might face questions from them. It's essential to return to the same immigration office where you received the stamp, as you cannot visit a different office for this matter. While your passport might seem to show an overstay, the 'under consideration' stamp indicates you are not technically overstaying. However, having a thorough explanation ready for any queries regarding the stamp and its expiry date is advisable.

Maybe nothing would happen, IO would give you the rest of the stamp. Maybe the officer grill you. What you can do is go to the immigration office that issued your stamp as soon as possible.

as a rule they don't get too bent outta shape if you a day or two late going back to close the loop on an under consideration stamp for a covid extension.

Keep in mind you have to go back to the office you got it to close it, you can't use another office.

While a cursory look at your passport would seem to indicate you're on overstay, you really aren't because that under consideration stamp is the furst part of the covid extension.

Still if someone who didn't know stamps looked at your passport and saw that the date ran out without you closing the loop you could have some explaining to do

Setting aside missing the must report date...

Do they ever deny you after issuing an under consideration period, and if so, what happens? Are you typically given 7 days to leave?

I can honestly say

that in all the many many thousands of people whove gotten u/c stamps to get a covid extension I never heard of even a single person ever report they were denied a covid extension after getting the under consideration stamp.
