TLDR : Answer Summary
Opening a bank account in Nonthaburi for extending a NON-O visa can be easier at branches like Bangkok Bank. It is recommended to have a letter from your landlord or hotel, and if you're living with a partner, it's helpful to have them accompany you. Additionally, you will need a residency letter from immigration, which may cost around 500 baht. Some advice suggests making an initial deposit of at least 50,000 baht and bringing a copy of your lease with the address in Thai to avoid complications.

keep in mind the branch where you open the account ist the one in charge of you. if you need any documents etc. that will be most likely the branch you have to go to, not others.
they don't really care about deposit amount, maybe a few years ago they would. They pretty much all want you to just meet one of the boxes on their checklist these days.
Usually Bangkok bank is easy, get a letter from your landlord, hotel, if living with your girl she can go with you, need to go immigration with residency letter to get a letter from immigration to open a back account, usually 500 baht, then go to the bank.
SCB ask you to provide yellow book, Krugshri wants you to have a full retirement visa, not just the AO 3 month visa, the full O 12 months retirement, I believe kasikorn is relatively easy also.
