We ALL know which agent you are referring to. My mom came to visit for my daughter's 1st bday. We were in 2 different lines beside each other. My guy pleasantly stamped me in with a smile. Mom turned in a panic and said "she has a problem". IO growled "address not right. address no good!" I smile and politely said " really? Same address on my drivers license. Address ok for Land office. Where is the problem?" While handing her my Thai DL. She was livid but stamped Mom in. Don't know how my guy kept a straight face, but he quite enjoyed the show!!

Quick easy solution I have used before is book a cheap ticket to Phnom Pen, print the booking, cancel the flight.

Even non refundable tickets are refundable if canceled within 24 hours.

Don't take a chance on being denied boarding.

Saw a guy on one of my flights get denied then sit down and do what I said above, boarded, then canceled.

To add to this post, I have seen fellow passengers scrambling to buy a cheap ticket before they could board.

Most airline policies allow you to get a refund if the flight is cancelled within 24 hours, even non refundable fares.

I personally have done this previously. Booked DMK to Phnom Penh if I remember correctly, printed the booking confirmation, logged in and cancelled the flight.

Figured no one would verify whether I was still booked so long as I had the confirmation printed.

I didn't want to take a chance on a bad internet connection or a payment gateway being down when I showed up at the airport.

I had no issues clearing immigration w a tourist visa or boarding.

That was my experience. Your mileage may vary.

Hi Rosie, if you are from the US you can get a Google Fi sim card before you come over. It works here.

They have several plans. Mine is $20 a month and $10/ gig of data. I have 1 in my dual sim phone and 1 in my iPad.

I believe they have unlimited plans now. If this is a 1 time trip it is easy and seamless.

I have mine so I have a US number people can call. It rings in over a hundred countries. My calls to the US, when I don't use app, are basically local calls w that sim.

If you are planning multiple trips go ahead and stop by a phone shop or 7-11.

AIS has the largest 5G network, if you have a 5G phone. I don't so I am not sure about actual speeds.

I have used both AIS and DTAC without issue. Avoid True, just don't use them.....for anything.

last week when I flew from Bangkok to the US a PCR test within 24 hours was required to board. Mine was checked in Bangkok and then again to board in Frankfurt.

Requirement were posted either in the cdc website or state dpt. Cant remember which.
