Do I need to report my address in Thailand if I have a house book?

I have scanned through the post a little, hopefully I am not asking a repeat question.

Back when immigration cracked down on tm30 forms at Jomtien I had to register my address ( landlord signed a poa..easier)when I applied for my 1st retirement visa (US).

Between 1st and 2nd ret visa I got my house book at a different address. Left, came back, did not report my address. No problems since then with 90 day reporting or visa #2 or #3( had a copy of the housebook w application forms). I assumed the house book took care of the tm30 issue.

Has anyone had a similar experience at Jomtien and, with the housebook, have you had to report your address anyway?

I am well past the 24 hours, just wondering what to expect.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses an individual's experience with address registration in Thailand when applying for retirement visas and questions whether possessing a house book negates the necessity to report the address via TM30 forms. The comments reveal varied experiences and opinions on address reporting requirements, suggesting that rules may not be consistently applied, and it is advised to consult the immigration office for clarity.

There is no such thing as universally applied law in Thailand, do not believe anyone who tell you that. Got caught in some kind of road block Checkpoint when I got back from Mukdahan few days ago (via car, in a weird spot where I never expected it in the middle of the mountain). They ask my GF how long i've been to Thailand, and than he ask about my nationality and as soon as I said Canadian he laugh and let us go very quickly without even checking my passport. Although I have no proof I feel like certain nationalities have it easier.

having a yellow house book listing does not mean you don't need to file a TM.30 :O

That you weren't asked doesn't mean you don't need to do it. :/

@Ian *****
and while it is anecdotally interesting that you've not been asked for a TM.30 receipt, the fact you have a yellow book does NOT exempt you from needing to have filed a TM.30 form.

As you can see by even a rudimentary search of the inter-web, more and more immigration offices are asking for proof of having filed a TM.30 to get extensions, re-entry permits, file 90 day reports etc.

Hi

I have s yellow book for our house we own.

I always have this and copies when I apply for extension of stay.

90 day reporting I just show my passport with the barcodes slip in .nothing else.

Visit the Immigration office and just ask, worst case scenario in Jomtien is a 2.000 Thb fine for reporting to late. I guess you do not have a visa but an Extension of Stay based on being over 50 years of age and report therefor every 90 days of stay inside Thailand at your Immigration office.
