TLDR : Answer Summary
The Immigration Offices in Thailand will be closed on October 13 for King Bhumibol Memorial Day and on October 23 for Chulalongkorn Day. While land borders will remain open, it's important to verify other checkpoint closures. A 24/7 agency is available for assistance via LINE, and there is a specialized Facebook group for more detailed visa-related help.

Maybe if people don't want to be tagged, they should remove themselves, it's not up to Thai Visa Advice to add or remove, it's up to you....

Wow, so many rude comments. I appreciate them sending out the notice. Once you consider the number of imbeciles on here that will complain that they went to Immigration for nothing because they were closed or someone complaining about an overstay I think is was reasonable to send out a notice.

Are you saying those that run this Group (including its Moderators), are infallible and all-knowing? I thought that was reserved for the Pope. And, to Paul Bennett, your reply was rude and closed-minded. There is a 3d Option: Accept constructive criticism and try to improve. Still haven't heard why my suggested simple "solution" of just Posting the Info. would not suffice and was "flawed". Those that are interested in receiving could just check the Wall Postings and/or be signed up for notifications of new posts.

You didn’t see the comment that I responded to as they deleted it. I felt my reaction to him saying something like the Admins were *expletive* stealing money or such was justified.

If you see my comment you can see it was not a reply to Paul Bennett who made an earlier comment. The fact the guy deleted their comment may make my reply to him look rude and close minded but his comment was unjust - I was pointing out to them that they had the option to leave. They did.
Paul *********
@Stuart ********
I think he's calling ME rude for giving the whingers 2 options.

Then he's confused himself by offering a 3rd option which doesn't apply to the whingers if I'm reading it correctly.
Robert ************

@Stuart ********
Yes, was referring to Paul Bennett's "whingers" as Rude. And, indeed his comments were. And, Stuart, I will add that your comment "If you don't like it, leave", was equally rude in my humble opinion. As I said, quite correctly, there is a 3rd Option: to simply Post the updates on the Wall. Sorry, if that is such a crazy idea as to put me on "another Planet". But, "respectfully", I don't think making a constructive suggestion, deserves a "Love it or leave it" retort.
Paul *********
@Robert ***********
You not being able to accept constructive criticism doesn't make my comment rude.

I think you're a little confused 🤔

We appreciate the discussion about our notification methods. We don't claim to be perfect or above criticism. Our use of the notification system for monthly updates is intended to reach as many people as possible, based on the observation that most members prefer real-time alerts to manually checking the wall or managing notifications.

We understand that this approach won't please everyone, but it has been effective for a majority of members. If a better method becomes available, we're open to adopting it.

If you choose to stay in the group, be prepared for these immigration updates. The main goal of this group is to keep members informed.

If that's not what you're interested in, there are other groups that may better suit your preferences.

I already suggested "a better method", but obviously you are not open to it. Checking the Wall and/or managing Notifications is easy and not at all burdensome. I do find your Group informative and helpful, and that is why I joined and stay a member. Just saying, that when I need info., I simply go to the group and "Search" or post a querry. Pretty simple. But, enough said on this subject.
Frank **********
@Robert ***********
not everyone does that or we wouldn't have the same questions everyday that have been answered a million times..
Stuart *********
@Robert ***********
What planet are you on? Where did I mention that or infer that. Who’s Paul Bennett?. The person I was replying to deleted their comment. I merely said they could take it either way but if they didn’t like it they could leave. Someone that has two comments in over one year wouldn’t be missed.
Amanda *********
Thankyou for the update i certainly appreciate this kind of information

@Ed *********
Considering they run this group and offer out free information for all, you can call it spam or you can call it information. If you don’t like it leave. You won’t be missed.

2 days in a month which are 10 days apart is not a big deal. When we had 6 days in a row a few months ago that was really a big deal.

Those whinging about being tagged ....... you have 2 choices.........

1) ignore the tag

2) leave the group if it annoys you that much.

It's not rocket science. Have a nice day 😊

Simply POST such notices on the Wall to inform. Tagging everyone is annoying, unnecessary, and constitutes SPAMMING. 😡

As stated, your info. would reach those who are interested by simply Posting on your Wall. As I see from other comments, I'm not the only one who was not enamored by your Everyone Tag. But, I appreciate your viewpoint and Feedback, albeit flawed.

We appreciate your feedback, Robert. We employ the "everyone" tag to ensure important information reaches all members, in line with community guidelines.

While we understand that not everyone may find this helpful, it is a common practice in online communities for disseminating crucial updates.

Your viewpoint is noted, albeit flawed due to factual inaccuracies.

Many members find it valuable to be aware of immigration holidays. Even if you don't plan on visiting an immigration office on those specific days, this information can still be useful. Other businesses may observe these holidays as well, so being informed helps you avoid unexpected inconveniences. Thailand occasionally changes or extends holidays, making it even more beneficial to stay up-to-date.

You're not obligated to remain in this group; it operates on a voluntary basis, as does Thai Visa Advice.

Thank you for your understanding.
