When you are in Vegas why not mail off your passport and get a METV? 'While not a 100% guarantee this is much better than Visa Exempt Entry.

Good luck with that ride. At least 6 or 8 hours. Sore ass definitely. Hope you are using a bigger bike and not some 110cc Scoopi.

Check your rental agreement because most don't let you take bike off the island.

What are safe travel options from Phuket to Ranong for a visa run?

Fly to Udon Thani, sometimes for less than 3,000 Baht round trip. Go straight to the border from airport for 200 Baht. Cross bridge and return (same day to Thailand but not enough time for flight).

Or better yet, enjoy Vientiane for a few days. It's actually a lovely place.

Only did visa run van once when I was ignorant and stupid. Never ever again. Fly to KL or Singapore or go to Laos. Visit other parts of Asia for a few days. Check out the promotions on Air Asia. Why the rush to get back here?
