If you are referring to a non imm o-a multi entry visa that you bought from a Thai embassy or consulate in your country, make sure you check the stamp to be sure they stamped you in for a year.

@Grant *******
just clearing up your comment where you stated “Benefit - it’s a 1 year visa that is renewed annually allowing you to stay in country indefinitely.” That is absolutely incorrect.
Al *******
@Grant *******
no, it is not renewed annually. If used correctly and one leaves the country just prior to the enter before date, one can get a second year from that visa. At the end of that second year one must apply for an extension of stay via their local Thai immigration office, or return to their home country and apply for a new non imm o-a multi entry visa. There are also some other options.

And if and when you do decide to return to Thailand you may want to consider obtaining a non imm o-a multi entry visa via your local Thai Consulate or the Thai Embassy while in the US before you return.

stock crash? I don’t follow your logic. Yes, the markets took a dump, and yes they have recovered and much more since that date.

I have gotten six non imm o-a multi entry visas over the last seven years through the LA Thai Consulate via USPS. Each time it has taken almost precisely two weeks from the day I mailed the stuff until my passport was back in my hands.
Al *******
You needed to purchase a reentry permit to keep your extension alive when reentering Thailand after the enter before date. Without that you start over with a 30 day visa exempt entry.
Al *******
It sounds like you do not have a visa. If you have an extension of stay that visa is dead and done.
Al *******
If you have an actual visa as opposed to an extension of stay, I don't believe that transferring that visa is possible.

@Christian *******
it is a non imm o-a, must be obtained via a Thai embassy or consulate in your home country and you must be over 50 years old.
