TLDR : Answer Summary
If you lose your passport while in Thailand, the first step is to file a police report and then apply for a new passport through your embassy. It's important to note that you cannot present a new passport at airport checkpoints without proper visa stamps. You may need to visit the Immigration Office with your new passport, police report, and a letter from your embassy to check your visa status. It is generally not possible to transfer an existing non-immigrant visa to a new passport without the old one, and if you have an extension of stay, that visa is considered invalid. You may need to leave Thailand to apply for a new visa if your situation does not allow for staying until the old visa's end date.

Nevermind. Found my passport. Someone had stolen it from me.. Knew theres no way i could have lost it. So just go to police to report it as found?

If you lost your passport, first you make a police report, than you apply for a new passport. With the new passport, copy police report and letter from Embassy you visit Immigration Office, they check their database and give the correct information into the new passport. You can not show up at a border or airport checkpoint with a fresh new passport without stamps.

That's everything. Can close post now. Thanks for answering my concerns :). That means nothing to worry about. Worst case just have to pay 2k baht for late 90 day report.

If you had a multiple Re-Entry Permit in your lost permit you get that also in the new one, but maybe you have to ask to check this also.

One last question. Do I have to make a new multientry permit or will I be given thst too?

They will transfer your current Extension of Stay and a stamp stating on which visa that Extension is given. Seeing that you still have to Feb 2019 you can stay inside the country and apply for a new Extension 30 days before this one expires.

That's mostly my concern, as in procedure after I receive it back. Now I know I can get back my stamp but will I have to leave country and make a new visa before eentring or get to stay. my extension expired only on February 2019 originally.

Robert Lagas Thanks for detailed information. Step1. Done. Question robert, does that mean I'm able to keep my current extension until the end?

It sounds like you do not have a visa. If you have an extension of stay that visa is dead and done.

I had a 1 year extension on top of 90day non b visa, wondering if possible to stay whole duration without having the original passaport. ends in February 2019. and also how would it work as for leaving country in and out. used to have a multi reentry permit.

If you have an actual visa as opposed to an extension of stay, I don't believe that transferring that visa is possible.
