Hi just a quick question. Some here have gone to the consulate in Los Angeles for an O-A long stay visa. Assuming I submit everything they're asking for, what's the turnaround time? How long, in anyone's experience here, is the request under consideration (or whatever they're doing etc..)?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The turnaround time for processing an O-A long stay visa at the Thai consulate in Los Angeles varies based on the method of submission. Personal submissions typically take around 1 to 2 days, as reported by several users. One person noted that they received their visa the same day they submitted their paperwork, while others indicated a pickup the following day after submission. For those using mail services, feedback suggests a turnaround of approximately 2 weeks.

I submitted my passport and paperwork to the Thai consulate in Los Angeles this morning and received my O-A visa this afternoon. Thanks for all the help and support I got here in this group - currently celebrating.

Go in one morning pick up the next day. They check your paperwork before you leave day 1 so you know they have everything they need.

I was there in person ... it takes two days. Drop the paperwork and the cashier's check in the morning and then go pick up the visa next day. Make sure you double check the pick up time ... there is a time window. Good luck.

I have gotten six non imm o-a multi entry visas over the last seven years through the LA Thai Consulate via USPS. Each time it has taken almost precisely two weeks from the day I mailed the stuff until my passport was back in my hands.
