We are currently in Thailand for our winter stay, and in the spirit of trying to plan ahead a bit, I am looking at alternatives for when we return to Thailand next fall. One thought is to purchase a non imm o to visit Thai family.
The LA Thai Consulate requests the following:
“If you want to visit as a spouse or family member (spouse, son or daughter), proof of relationship such as a photocopy of marriage license or birth certificate with a proof that your spouse or family member is a Thai citizen such as as a photocopy of Thai passport or Thai identification card.
The letter from your spouse indicated that you both are still married and he/she acknowledges of your visit.”
If I reside together with my long time wife (44 years) at homes both in the US and in Thailand, and, of course, she travels and stays with me, does a non imm o to visit family apply for us?
Thanks.
TLDR : Answer Summary
The user inquires about the eligibility for a Non-O visa to visit family in Thailand, specifically regarding the requirements if they have a Thai spouse. The consensus in the comments is that since the user is married to a Thai citizen and can provide proof (marriage license and Thai identification), they should be able to apply for the Non-O visa.
