Kevin Slade you are not "pleasing" immigration as you say. They don't make the rules, they just apply them. Wherever you are you should just follow the laws of that country or return home. The money in the bank is actually there because so many expats go into hospital without insurance and can't pay. So that money can be called on to pay medical bills. Then if used you will have to leave the country.

Brandon is correct. One tip from me when you get your exit stamp from Laos..make sure it is clear and readable. I nearly got sent back to Laos! Talked my way through it and after several offices looked at it I was let back in.
