Just received this message from my health insurance company. Does anyone know if this in effect yet? Does immigration still mandate a Thai insurance company or can we show international health insurance certificate? We live in Hua Hin and due to renew O-A October 13 - many thanks!
It has come to our attention that there are already immigration offices in certain provinces asking for the 3,000,000 THB certificate for the renewal of your non-OA visa. In some provinces however, immigration still accepts the ‘old’ 400,000/40,000 THB certificate. We therefore kindly advise you to first check with your local immigration office which insurance certificate is needed for the renewal of your non-OA visa,
Looking to connect with an agent to discuss health insurance options in the Khon Kaen area. I am currently not in Thailand so connecting through Line would be best. Any suggestions for reputable agents would be deeply appreciated!
( I know the "O" does not require health insurance). For anyone on an O-A visa, this is required Foreign Insurance Certificate: As stipulated by the Office of Insurance Commission and Health Insurance of Thailand, this certificate must be completed, signed, and stamped by the insurance company. Has anyone had luck with that specifically BCBS Federal? TIA!
Health Insurance question re: visa requirements. Anyone use an international plan? Specifically an American citizen? This plan then used for visa requirements and accepted? I’d like to have a plan that I can use in Thailand and USA.
Hi group. Is there any good local Thai insurence company that you know, to get medical assitance and travel protection from? Rather than getting it, in my own country,When travelling?
We are in the process of applying for our non-OA retirement visas and are stumbling at the insurance portion. We have great insurance with IMG Global but we’re being told by the Thai consulate that we need a particular form filled out, and it doesn’t appear that IMG Global can sign off on it.
The consulate provided a list of Thai insurance companies but wow, are they ever expensive!!! Any recommendations for a Thai insurance company?
(By the way, this entire visa application process is HELL!!!)
Anyone else have Pacific Cross health insurance? Its taking them almost 9 days just to get my application processed. If this is their level of service just to get my money then maybe it'll be worse after they have my money. I think maybe 🤔 I should go with another insurance company.
