I'm looking for a way to watch college football while in Thailand... Has anyone ever tried using YouTube TV with a VPN?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The post discusses various methods for watching college football in Thailand, particularly focusing on the use of YouTube TV with and without a VPN. Community members share their experiences and recommend alternatives such as IPTV subscriptions, various streaming services, and tips for optimizing VPN use. Some noted that successful viewing often requires specific setups, like using a Firestick, adjusting VPN locations, or even opting for free streaming sites.
I used a vpn for you tube TV. I used it on a firestick. Sometimes I had to change locations on the VPN then it worked again. I used it this year in Thailand.
There can be up to 3 continuous feeds for UTube TV, one needs to be in the US and that becomes the home location for sports networks. IE if one of the 3 feeds is in LosAngeles all three feeds will only be able to watch LA pro and college sports.
I use CyberGhost VPN and they have specific VPN sites for different services to monitor when it starts getting blocked and update it - I use with PeacockTV but check it out
Absolutely the best investment for world travelers, ex pats, digital nomads, etc. I use it all the time and can access everything US based, as if I’m in the US. All without a VPN. I’m telling you that you can’t go wrong with this approach. In. Chiang Mai, with awesome Internet with no barriers. Disclaimer: I do have one of the units connected to a US based Internet Provider via a family member. Also search and check out “Keep Your Home Internet / KYHI”. (Not a paid endorsement but merely a mention so you get the full picture). Good luck!!🍀
YouTube TV is not YouTube. My experience is that vpns work for a while but as soon as they are detected ( and Google is very smart at detecting them) you will not be able to watch. YouTube TV is currently only
yes. I had YouTube TV, not to be confused with watching TV on your regular YouTube channel, for about a year here in the Philippines using VPN. After about a year I got the dreaded only available in the US message.
