Gary Stockley as a feminist, I can't stand my wife's traditional Thai values. But they sure are nice. Very symbiotic.

Phil Beer did that before. V easy but I'm not going home. The retirement visa would therefore require proof in a Thai bank? Jeez. Been a while a sat with a lawyer.

K so if applying for visa at home you can use home bank funds as proof of being solvent. I did my marriage visa here had to have 2 months prior to renewal in Thai bank. And yeah ed visa @45k no proof required. Dtv needs proof of being solvent plus institution /visa fees. The dtv people said you have to apply outside Thailand, which would mean for me proof of money in a Thai bank as I ain't going back to US. Idk maybe a certified letter from US bank would do?

Jack Wilbur i know non O haven't heard of oa sorry. I know University visa rules, marriage visa dtv etc. They all require either a monthly or annual sum in a Thai bank for obvious reasons. No need for the condescending snarkiness at all thank you.

Fredy Fredy yes just have to read news those sort abound. But there's a large amount who appreciate thenlaid back atmosphere andnfor me, personally, the exchange rate means i don't have tonspend my best years in the rat race. I also studied Thai at undergraduate level so being able to connect with regular Thai people is a real pleasure. It's the simple things in life here. $1.50 gourmet coffe amd beach sunsets. Jogging on beach road. Clean, modern gym facilities access to certain pharmaceuticals that assit in all sorts of things. Local market food costs next to nothing, using my steamer to concuct nutritious recipes that would be exorbitant in the West. The genuine appreciation of a $10 tip and being known as a good customer and treated accordingly. Meeting weird and wonderful people from every corner of the world...list goes on.
