Seems to be a weekly occurrence in Thailand. I have noticed that safety standards are lacking in this country.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Concerns about safety standards in Thailand are frequently discussed, with many expats noting a lack of adequate protective measures, particularly at construction sites and during roadworks. Commenters have highlighted instances of workers not using proper safety gear, like flip flops instead of appropriate footwear. While some have acknowledged improvements in fairness within the system, the overall sentiment points to persistent issues with safety regulations and enforcement.

Look at any construction site or roadworks in Thailand and you will see workers wearing flip flops , that tells you all you need to know .
