US citizens don’t have a passport office to attend. We make one application and a payment with a return envelope and send via mail. The Embassy won’t allow onsite appointments for passport renewal the last I checked.

Get a Google voice number and associate it with your US mobile number. This can’t be done once you leave the US.

If you are a fan of US tv shows then get a FireStick or similar device and use VPN service once you get here.

cash and Veteran’s Administration Foreign Medical Program. The FMP only pays for my service connected disabilities which only covers a few things. I also have accident insurance for my motorbike to cover medical due to accidents.

in case you have to go back and use it. If you drop it there is a massive penalty to restart. I did the same and kept mine so there would be no interruption if I had to go back to the states.

I had to sign a US IRS form stating just that with both Krungthai and Bangkok Bank. They both send those reports back to the USA.
