i have done it for years .

Make sure you have booked transport out of Thailand before the end of your first 60 days .

They can deny you boarding if you don't have it .

Never happened to me ,but I have seen it happen to others .

I highly recommend you fly to Siem reip and see Angkor wat,then overland back.you quite likely won't even be asked .

Apply for the( multiple entry! ) tourist visa

Come and go as much as you want and you can extend it up to 9 months .

The other ones you lose when you leave the country .
