Hi,

Which city has some cooler weather now? During the day and during the evening and night?

Until now I was in Bangkok and Pattaya. Pattaya has some light wind and cooler air in the evening, probably because of the sea.

How is in Phuket and in Chiang Mai these days? Can you recomend some place or city with lower temperatures?

TLDR : Answer Summary
The conversation discusses which cities in Thailand currently offer cooler weather, particularly comparing Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Pattaya. Users suggest that Chiang Mai is cooler than other areas, while Chiang Rai and the surrounding mountains are the coldest locations, especially at night. Pattaya is noted for having pleasant evening breezes and temperatures around 29-30°C. Others mention Hua Hin and Trat as additional areas with favorable weather conditions.

Huahin my parents say is nice and balmy.

I'm in NE and it's not bad temperature wise when is raining, but ramps back up when the sun is out.

Quite nice in Pattaya now ~ 29 / 30c max. As for the height thing, temps drop at 1c per 100m, so go up a mountain!

I take it that you weren’t here in April and May. It IS cooler.

The only place you'll find cooler weather right now (middle of summer) is up in actual mountains. Chiang Mai city and Chiang Rai city are just as hot as Bangkok. But once you get some actual elevation it will start to cool down, especially at night.

very correct for July through September. After that is changes significantly.

the coldest significantly is Chiang Rai and Mae Sai. Typically 3 degrees colder than Chiang Mai. In the winter it can get down to 8 degrees at night

Changing Mai region is the coolest

Actually, it is the coolest some time of the year and the even hottest another time. It is less humid, though.
