I assuming they would give you a chance to correct the documents. This evisa process is of course new. I would assume they would email you with any issues.

I did the stv, in person in Taiwan, before evisa started. They reviewed my document and had an issue. I had to correct and come back, they reviewed them again and said I was good. The I paid them and they took my passport to actually process the visa.

I flew through Singapore in September. You put into a holding room with basic food and bathroom access, nothing more. The airport was not open to roam around and no no to lounges or any kind of amenities.

The people commiting here about stuff I think was probably pre covid.

It also worth noting in the entire pandemic that was probably the highest risk environment I had been in. It started with about a 20 minute wait in 2 lines no socially distance on the jet bridge (tiny hall way with no ventilation 🙄) so we can get pointless bracelets... And the ridiculousness didn't end there.

Your friend can make you a lease agreement is the easiest way.

Easy, all it takes is a plane ticket and few tests and a hotel stay 😉 I was stv left, visited my family for a few weeks and came back under 14 day sandbox... Now test and go.. Even Easy.

I am attending ALA. It's in the trendy building Soi sukhumvit 13.

Class right now are online because of covid of course.

I am pleased with them. It's 2 hour classes Monday to Friday. And they typically have 2 class times to join. If you doing like an Ed visa package it's also unlimited so you can join extra class and repeat.

They use custom text books. It does move pretty fast, so to stay on top of vocabulary you definitely need some study time outside of class. The first 10 weeks focus on speaking, then 12 weeks on reading/writing, then they move to more advanced class I don't even understand yet.

You can ask to do a trial class to see what it is like before you enroll if you want.

Everyone recommends Duke, I did check them out too. They seem a little too intense for me. I wanted a bit more flexibility.

I believe there is a 7 day visa that is intended for people need a little bit more time to get out of the country when things happen. One of the more senior members of the group will probably chime in here ith better information on that.

@Michael ******
no, just look for a place where you can cancel for free... Or just book the place you want to stay.

yes. 90 days and prepaid.. They were strict about that. They told me I could not cancel.. But I prepaid on agoda. Canceled after I go here and rented a condo. I extended one time as well no problem using the lease agreement.

Michael.. I did my stv in March in Taipei.

Provided nothing has changed... It's was easier than most places. YOU MUST HAVE AN ARC. They did not require medical check or background check.. Which made it easier.

Just walk into the office at in Taipei in the morning. Bring you the required documents and 2 passport photos. Visa approved and picked up next day.
