Anyone here that was on a flight sitting next or near to a person tested positive for Covid19??? Would be interesting to know how your "Quarantine" di go? Hospitalization is mandatory I heard on news. That shoul cost some! Insurance companies do not wan't to pay for that from your arriving flight.

TLDR : Answer Summary
Passengers sitting next to someone who tested positive for Covid-19 must quarantine but do not necessarily need hospitalization unless they test positive themselves. Thai insurance typically does not cover quarantine costs, which can be significant, while it may cover hospital expenses for those who test positive.

At the moment the percentage of it happening to you is 0.13%. Very unlikely. Just keep your mask on and social distancing.

If you site next to someone positive you have to quarantine, not hospital. Most of the major insurance companies, including Thai, will not pay for the quarantine.

Now Thai insurance will pay for an asymptomatic hospital stay if you test positive. The two circumstances of testing positive verse of being near someone is different.

If you test positive, you will go to hospital or "hosptel" which cost around 200k up. If you simply bear someone you would have to quarantine which is about 30k up.

Are you sure??? It's all over news that they do not cover that. Only cover if you later get covid. Not from your flight.
