yes. But could not transfer money via online services like wise, no domestic transfer in or out. Had to be swft based only. If you deposit cash have to fill out a form where you got it. And no mobile banking, no payment with debit card either. Only cash in or swft in, and atm withdrawal.. Absolutely nothing else.

You can open a bank account without a WP, all banks tend to say that first.. But it stupid. How many retires and elite in Thailand is an obvious indication you do not need a WP.

You can get a letter from your embassy, in the case of the US it just an affidavit of your address. Other embassy do it differently. Some branchs may just accept a lease agreement if you hit the pavement hard enough.

Sounds like Bangkok is probably the best place to go on tourist visa. I did one at krungsri, but basically only cash deposit and atm, no transfers in or out, mobile banking, etc.

I ended up opening one once I got my ed visa ink at krungthai and pretty with that.

most people greatly over estimated their needed bandwidth. You could probably get by with 4mbps and not notice a difference on zoom.

You might be able to get a higher speed unlimited through ais 4g,i think they do have at least a 15 maybe 20 option. I have one of their prepaid Sims as a backup and it does work as advertised. Your signal strength is your location is of course going to matter.

They do offer 5g, but I don't think unlimited and its pretty pricey. I would try a 4g first and see if works for you.

Other networks tend to max out around 10mpbs full speed like dtac and true, I got full speed for both, but they don't get much faster.

Plenty of unlimited 4g Sim cards you can buy cheap and abuse for a month. 4g is plenty fast enough for any kind of streaming and normal usage.

Run to ais going to be best probably, just bring your passport. I think unlimited 10mbps speed is 300 baht a month.

Trunk travel was adverting they could help escalate TP if your flight was within three days.

Unfortunately, this silly process Thailand thinks is necessary no way around it unless you are a good swimmer.

I got to ALA, Sukhumvit 13. I would recommend, if not them, Duke, which is in same building.

Visa on arrival and visa exempt are not the same thing.

There is no such thing as a long term tourist visa.

If you come via visa exempt its 30 days plus an extention of 30 days. On a case by cases basis you might be able to switch to certain visa in country.

the tm6 has a code on it.. It's your tracking code for each entry in which all everything is filed under extention, tm30, etc. Funny you just used an extra one and no one cared.

You can select an option in agoda to pay on booking actually.

I did do stv and I did use agoda. This was Taipei embassy in March though.
