In Korat, the DLT on the road to Chokchai, only extend it for 2 years with the yellow book. With certificate from immigration you get the normal 5 years.

Well, not 100% sure ofcourse, but if they sell a lot of insurances of one company, most of the times they can talk a bit to them. The insurance company sometimes don't want to lose that broker 🤷‍♂️ But y'r right, it sometimes only can help a little bit.

I got that one too and in the beginning 2,5-3 years ago positive stories. Lately they are a lot stricter.

Think you mean "INpatient" ? Because outpatient bills almost cost nothing in most cases.

Coverage/paying out, is 'the key' over here. I pay 16,700฿ quarterly (So which is about 2.025$ a year at 68 for 2,5 year now). And thank god I not needed them. Hope so for the next 10 years 🤞BUT I think best to look for recent reviews on most known, like Cigna, Pacific cross, AXA, AIA, April etc.

I know, I know Brandon, and maybe "have to" is not the right saying but 'should do'. Because it would be a verry strange contradiction, isn't it ? I mean allowing people to stay for over 3 months, and not allowing a Thai drivers License which I thought is mandatory after 3 months driving with y'r home license and IDP. But y'r right, after 7 years living hear: TiT.

I think they HAVE to do it, isn't it ? Because with DTV you are here for 180 days each time. After 3 months I thought its mandatory to drive with a Thai one ? Or am I missing something ?

TRUE. More and more reports. Also on Thai visa advice group.

Korat ? Well in all the time you used this imm. office, meanwhile you must know that it's one of the friendliest, helpful and correct office there is. Although rare, it was just a random check as they said.

I think, as usual, it differs a bit from office to office again. Had my original Dutch drivers License with International Drivers Permit, indeed a Certificate of Residence from immigration and a Health Certificate from a small clinic for 60฿. This with some copies (passport etc.) let me do the 4 tests (Colour, fast break and depth) without seeing movie or drive test. Got it for 2 years. Was in DLT Nakhon Ratchasima on the road to Chokchai. But must admit this was 6 years ago 🤷‍♂️🙏
