My doctor had me go and do all the tests, (in Perth) did them all in one day and the results took 5 working days to be ready. I think i could have persuaded him, but was just as easy to do the tests so he was covered.
I assume your Australian, it is very easy to apply for a retirement visa in Australia with the 34k in your Aussie bank account, then you can get two years out of that visa by leaving the country once on the anniversary and for that period no need to show any income or funds in Thailand.
I left the country came back went to Jomtien immigration centre and was told no need report as i still stay at registered place. I am on a OA visa, does the visa type make a difference?
only hot to you Victorians lol, i was in Perth 35+ summers, Thailand weather is comfortable. Mind you does depend where in Thailand you plan to settle.
yes, they need your passport to be able to put the visa into it, also as part of the documentation pack a copy of passport. By the way, they only send back to you the passport, so the return courier envelope only has to be big enough for that.
Yes I just followed the instructions on the Thailand Canberra website, applied for police clearance that took 15 days, went to doctors for medical, some will sign the form that you can download mine had me go through and have X-rays and blood tests waited three days and had that clearance. I put a pack together in the order they required and had a Notary Public stamp a seal on each page that cost me 6000 I could have used a Justice of Peace and apparently that’s free. Sent the documents by registered post courier with a reply paid same, you can track progress in the Embassy’s website. That process took nine days from sending to receiving back my passport.
Todd my scenerio is that when i return just before the expiry date my passport will only have 9 months left, will i still get a full year stamp in or up to the expiry date.
