Due to this very good forum i convinced the landlord to complete the TM30 for my stay. Without reading this forum i would not have known to ask and insist on it being done, thanks people.

Now a question, i am on a multi entry non O-A visa, do i need a re-entry permit before i leave.

TLDR : Answer Summary
A user confirmed receiving help from the forum regarding the TM30 requirement for their stay in Thailand. They are seeking clarification on whether a re-entry permit is necessary before leaving the country, given that they hold a multi-entry non O-A visa. A commenter responded that a re-entry permit is not required for multiple-entry visas.

Not if it's multiple-entry.

Example:

This is a year-long, multi-entry Non-O-A. It has an enter before date of 12 May 2014. it is good for unlimited entries to the country up to that date with every entry getting the holder stamped in for another whole year.

If the holder of that visa exited and re-entered the country just prior to that date they would have gotten stamped in for a completely new calendar year

BUT

if they wanted to exit/re-enter the country after the 12 of May 2014 in order to keep their "admitted until" stamp alive they'd need to buy a re-entry permit before they left the country or their stamp would cancel when they exited the country.

yes, the multiple entry part of a year-long O-A visa is only good until the "enter before" date on the visa itself.

IF you get the "free second year" in order to keep that stamp "alive" you'd need a reentry permit

If you're on an Extension of Stay it's needed. Multiple-entry visas allow multiple entries.
