before I moved from USA I had researched Bangkok. I narrowed it down to Sathorn and ploenchit. I got a hotel room in Sathorn for 2 weeks and enjoyed the area. Lived there 2 years before trying another area.

Book a hotel close to BTS or MRT. Look at holiday inn or intercontinental at Chitlom. There’s a Novotel at Siam.

I suggest 2 weeks before you decide on an area you want to live. Good luck.
