don't know about that, but I think their bank account and social media presence give them credibility on potentially coming back, but I know a few over now and it's been awhile.
New York is hard! Did the same thing to me and lied about offering a multiple entry visa! No you will need to apply for it and spend extra money. Easier to just ignore new york altogether and get it through another Asian country by way of may thai, cooking, etc. Don't deal with them!
