I stayed in a hospital alone for several nights - nobody suggested that was an issue and the room only had my bed and a tiny sofa so I doubt anyone could've joined anyway.

If she's an educated professional (with a high enough salary that she's unlikely to become an economic migrant) and more than enough money in the bank to pay for a big shopping holiday in NYC/LA (and her travel plans are along those lines), 90%. If not, 1%.

less tourism = less demand for THB = cheaper THB

(but it's a marginal factor compared to relative levels of expected inflation, interest rates, trade balance, economic growth outlook, public debt levels, etc)
