I paid my agent 300 baht to do my 90 day report. Didn't even have to give my passport. That shows how much I hate going to Immigration.

You'll learn that there are few people on here who think their DTV is superior to others. Because they applied via workation and not soft power. They're wishing so hard for Immigration to check everyone on entry with a DTV. Very sad.

If you're worried about being questioned use a visa agency for a border run or safe entry at the airport.

Ask again in 3 years. It's easier to extend in country if you applied via workation and you're still working. Those on soft power would need to book more courses or appointments.

No overnight stay is needed on this agency border run. This route has been in operation for many years, I first did it in 2003. You will be stamped back in again no questions asked.

He doesn't need an agent. However it sounds like he suffers from anxiety so using an agent might be best for him.

He is in the same position as those of us on soft power and the course has finished. To extend in country he needs proof or just do a border bounce for a new 180 day stamp.

I never used it I just asked if they did. However the chap who was previously on an Ed visa and had to pay 20K entry fee at swampy probably wished he used it.
