I have not experienced this anywhere in my current locality. I was singled out as a foreigner when visiting a temple but I was the only one. Once I told them I had been in Thailand since November 2019 there was no further problem from anyone. The Thai people here could not be more friendly and supportive. I am very grateful to them.

I am told to get the correct Visa to stay but I cant without leaving the Kingdom which is not possible currently because the borders are closed. If I fly out then I will not be allowed to return. This makes no sense to me!

I was given the run around for 6 weeks in rural Thailand. Told I needed a work permit when the last thing I wanted was a job! Apparently it is easier in larger cities especially if they are used to dealing with foreigners. I eventually succeeded in Sakon Nakhon when i got the house book and a guarantee off my landlady. I hope that helps you. You gave to keep trying as the rules are different everywhere even with the same bank. I also had to have lease agreement and was on amnesty when I finally got it.

it's time the police were defunded totaly as they are now only good for harassing motorists. There is no deterrent for hardly anything any more including abuse of children. Time for right minded people who care about the country to stand up and be counted or leave for a better place. I have to admit I have opted for the latter.

Then Asda and Sainsbury should be heavily fined. It is quite ridiculous how everybody ignores guidelines and does what they like. Still, glad I am not there.

I back Boris Johnson to the hilt over Brexit and a number of other current issues but over covid there is no other way to describe how the whole of the uk have responded to it in any other way than incompetent. I think it is today that they start to wear masks and everybody is still arguing about who should and who shouldn't have to. It is quite pathetic. I realy feel for those who have taken it seriously and are watching their truly wonderful efforts wasted.
