I have been searching Google for an hour now as to whether you have to quarantine for 14 days on return to UK from Thailand. Half the results say yes you do while the other half say no you dont. Can the UK get nothing clear?. Seems to be different for Wales, Scotland and N.Ireland.
Does anyone know the the current situation please for certain?
Also, where do you find the travel information firm supposed to be completed on line before travel?

TLDR : Answer Summary
Yes, travelers returning to the UK from Thailand must self-isolate for 14 days upon arrival. Thailand is not on the UKโs list of exempt countries; thus, the self-isolation rule is mandatory. Travelers should also complete an online form detailing their address for isolation. The situation can be confusing due to varying guidelines across the UK regions (England, Wales, Scotland, and Northern Ireland), but the current consensus is a 14-day quarantine requirement.
Whatever you do in life... do not go to UK or USA! Life is too short

Yes
The UK deems Thailand as high risk. Coz the uk can't see further than Europe.
You must quarantine for 14 days. Otherwise you might catch something from the moron British public who can't follow simple rules.
I'm on day 10 of 14 in Manchester.
The news say the opposite every other day. People are confused.

This UK Government is using a traffic light system to decide who should be quarantined and Thailand is one of them countries which is in the Red light zone so you will need to Quarantine on your return to the UK

Look at the date on the top pic and read the info on the bottom pic.
well I dont give a shit because only a fool would want to leave a completely safe environment and go to the UK. I'm staying here. Not sure if you are in the UK but my condolences if you are.
so the government are not saying you cant visit Thailand even though to do so is almost impossible but you have to quarantine for 14 days as you will have certainly come from a place of more risk than anywhere in The Kingdom (and you will be checked regularly) but if you come from a totaly safe place and arrive in England you have to self isolate ( after completing all the paperwork of course) and can be certain no body will give a toss about you, check how you are or even if you are self isolating.
Ok fat boy, weโll take that under advisement ๐๐ป

One difference within the "Union" is the level of fines imposed for breaking quarantine measures.

100% quarantine (as it stands today). Only โAir Bridgeโ countries can avoid it. Thailand is not on the list of Air Bridges. If you have been to any other country in 14 days prior, even if itโs safe, before entering the UK, you will be required to name an address of where you will self isolate for 14 days.

Michael, I have given up on the UK. I did not realise how bad it was until I came to Thailand. Every day I become aware of some more total s..t that is going on. I went along with the crap for 4 years. No longer!
Two weeks self isolation pal. They will make you fill in a form on arrival to say what address you will be in. ยฃ1000 fine if caught leaving that address

Hi Thailand is not on the list of quarantine exempt countries when arriving in England.
See section "Countries and territories with no self-isolation on arrival in England" on this page:
