I know that this topic has been discussed at length over the last 2 or 3 days but I have spent the last two sorting out with Wise how to get future transfers tagged as international. The information I have got could still be of use to people who rely on this for their visa extensions. I have posted it elsewhere but it has got lost in very long threads.
I contacted Wise and asked why the option long term stay had been removed. I got my Bangkok bank account tagged by supplying its details to Wise. I was then given the following information about how to get transfers tagged international. I tried three transfers two of which have only just appeared in my account. I hope this post gives some relief to people who are concerned..

TLDR : Answer Summary
This discussion centers on how to ensure that transfers made to Thailand via the Wise app are tagged as international transfers, which is crucial for visa extensions, especially for Non-O visas. Users share their experiences of tagging their Bangkok bank accounts and attempting different transfer options (e.g., 'personal expenses', 'purchase of property') to achieve the correct tagging. The conversation highlights concerns about Wise's options for declaring transfer purposes and provides insights on how to manage funds correctly for immigration requirements.

if you are to obtain an extension of stay based on marriage or retirement then 12 monthly transfers of 40k or 65k baht are required to qualify. It must be clear to immigration thatThese transfers came from overseas and not from Thailand. Some transfers are moved to a partner bank who then transfers them to your bank. These show as interbank transfer and are thus not acceptable.
no, it is now possible to use one of the other given options to get the desired notation. I used personal expenses and others have reported that other works as well.
I've just used personal expenses and it is showing as Transfer from another a/c. I also tried 'other' and it is the same. These two transfers took seconds whereas when I chose 'buying property' it says Mon or Tues before funds arrive, and that is what I would expect.
you need to get your account tagged and it must be Bangkok Bank or Kasikorn by chat or email with Wise. Then I beleive all the options listed will most likely result in international transfer.
I have also now had my account tagged. When I wrote to them I asked for all options to be tagged but they haven't specifically addressed that in their reply so my thoughts are that once your account is tagged I don't think it matters what option you choose from the list but common sense tells me to use 'Personal Expenses' because that's most apt given that it's for day to day living expenses.
I just hope it works when I do my next transfer.
I will continue to use Wise for now but will be asking my local office about this situation because Revolut are offering better returns now. Once I have clarification from my local office I will know if any other options are possible.
I do think Wise should have sent out a generic email about these changes prior to making them 🙄
that is what I have just questioned them on but personal expenses would not be an issue. I suppose you could say you were saving up to buy a house if it came to it.
that may be the case but I have not yet tried all the options to find out. However, Wuse have said that they can not gaurantee international tagging with any option.
