Come to Issan, the real Thailand and Nakhon Phanom. Air port handy and my little place is 3500 baht a month. I know a place available for 3000 baht. There are plenty of things to see and places to go. I am heading for Bangkok next week for 7 nights. I might regret it.

I had to get some help from my landlady. She provided the house book and rental agreement and spoke to the bank while I was there. There was then no problem even though I was on amnesty. I tried 7 different banks and was finally successful with Krungsri.

dont get me going on that one! All the banks said I needed a work permit to open an account but the last thing I want is a job! I did manage it in the end with the help and support if a Thai friend.
