100% understandable & i was definitely lacking in the preparation department (again). Extension's end was never in question but today would/could've been a real stunner!
Wasn't too aware of the reputation as 7 yrs of positive experiences there. I guess every office/r is unique. The situation caught me a little off-guard, thought I was cool til late Nov. If not for my wife and an understanding officer, I'd be headed back to the States in shock. 😄
Around 2014 my first and only so-far yearly extension: home visit was proceeded by a courtesy call. We had our neighbor "witness" for us last-minute, I remember them calling (my wife) ahead of time.
Got my 60 day stamp today (exp Jan 24), officer voluntarily said "you can extend one more time...", "only one time, next time will be the last...". I asked a couple repetitive, confirming type questions, he assured me yes, come back before Jan.24 and you can extend again. Too long story short, this post helps clear some confusion even though my info was straight from immigration. Thank you!
