Should I be worried about not receiving a home visit for my Non-O extension application in Thailand?

I've applied for my first ever Non-O (Married to Thai) one year extension using the 400k in bank method at Chaengwattana on 16th Nov. I need to go there again on 14th December to get the final stamp. From various sources I have come to know that in case of first time extension, the immigration gives you a home visit within the under consideration time. Now there's two days left to go and I haven't got a call or visit from immigration yet. Should I be worried? Finally thanks to Tod Daniels for encouraging me to apply for the extension by myself. I had the impression that it was a very hard process if I was to do it myself. But actually it was very easy if you've got everything you need.

TLDR : Answer Summary
The user is awaiting a home visit from immigration regarding their first Non-O (married to a Thai) extension and is concerned about not having received a call or visit yet. Several commenters reassured the user, stating that home visits can be random and that many have successfully obtained their extensions without a visit. They encouraged the user not to worry and highlighted that the extension process can be manageable.

I collected my first ever extension of stay based on marriage to a Thai wife from Chaengwattana and they didn’t do a home visit for us either. I had no problems collecting my extension of stay. You’ll be fine mate

@Aminul ******
, well then you have to do 3 month reporting , so you are not exactly free :-), or Tm30 for changin residence/house and so on...

No one has ever been kicked out for 90 days report and it's not much of a hassle. I've got a year lease on my condo, so not going to need a new TM30 anytime soon.
Masoud *******
@Aminul ******
, well if you travel to other cities and spend the night there... then TM30 is necessary when you are back home :-) ... or you can do as I do, book hotels via wifes Id and nobody knows you have been there :-)

I don't need to do that in Bangkok according to the IO that I did my TM30 with.

It's 100% hit and miss as far as whether Chaengwattana does home visits :O

I wouldn't worry in the least about not having one
@Ami***
.

Update your bank book Monday, make a copy of it and show up in section L-2 to get the year extension inked in.

you'll be fine.

Around 2014 my first and only so-far yearly extension: home visit was proceeded by a courtesy call. We had our neighbor "witness" for us last-minute, I remember them calling (my wife) ahead of time.

Best of luck, I'm thinking you will be fine.

Thanks. So I lost two weeks by applying early. Should have gone there before 2-3 days before 30th.

@Aminul ******
it starts from when your previous one expires. It doesn’t start on the first day of your application.

Thanks for the reply. I had another query.

My last visa stamp expired on 30th Nov but I applied on 16th. Wondering when does my extension start, is it from 30th Nov 2020 to 29th Nov 2021 or it starts from application date which is from 16th November 2020 to 15th November 2021.
