I think since the Embassy stopped issuing proof of funds you first have to do the 800,000 in the bank for the first year then during that year bring in each month your

+ then convert to that system the following year for the future, at least that is what I did, but wether you can do that now or not im not sure ?

On the English Embassy site it does mention a police report, i got one 3 years ago when I came for good, waste of time and money, nobody was interested in it, I still have it in my files !!!

The Thai immigration are quite correct, and soon back to 30 days visa exempt !

Maybe they wouldn't want him there, Im told Pakistan or Bangladesh are easy and cheap retirement countries, but you must behave yourself and adopt the Muslim faith, if not its 50 lashes for being a Christian !!!

Totally agree with you, i personally know a few farrang here with Thai wives who have restaurants or bars but they do not work, according to the social media the most working illegally in Thailand are Chinese.

If the 30 days are in force by then you can go to your nearest immigration office and extend for a further 30 days for 1900 baht.

Bangkok Bank seems to be the bank favoured by Agents and Immigration, i believe its also the only Thai international bank, but im not sure about that.

I have been coming to Thailand for many years and the only time ever asked for proof of onward travel was during covid "Thailand pass" year.
