 Totally agree with you, i personally know a few farrang here with Thai wives who have restaurants or bars but they do not work, according to the social media the most working illegally in Thailand are Chinese.

You do not need an agent to do a 30 day extension, I assume to a 60 visa exempt, just Google it, or better still ask your nearest immigration !
