All I know is I would rather live in a country that does its best to control its boarders and keep people out who cannot support theirselves, unlike the Pathetic country that i am from, If I move to a country that I am not a native of, I abide by the rules of that country, i respect the natuve population and the countries laws, religeon and culture.

If you have a Flex Plus account with Nationwide there is a premium you pay for extending the length of the trip and age, but my wife and I have used it for many years for 6 month length trips abroad, its the only way at our age we can do it, and it ends up not that expensive even when you add onto the cost of having flex plus, which costs £13 per month, there are other advantages of having this account as well, such as breakdown cover for the UK and Europe .

KL Embassy did before covid, but now, I couldn't say, you would have to check, it was easy then from Hua Hin as there was an Air Asia flight to KL from HH airport, but covid put a stop to that ! I do remember to get a Tourist visa there you apply on day 1 but do not get the passport back with new visa until day 2.

Government pension where i paid serps all my working life frozen, the rises now are peanuts anyway thanks to the frozen tax free allowance, but Private pension and ISAs I have 2 as my wife has 1 all handled in the UK ! Anything else you would like to know ?

Wises ?? No I don't use Wise, just direct transfer from English bank each month, cost just £15 for any amount.
